my parental units were gone this week due to a good family friend passing away in canada.
so me and stace have been taking over the place with our good food (sugar) and cheesy movies.
i literally get giddy when me and her babysit the boys.
we made all the boys watch new moon.
all of them were in disgust except gentle josh of course.
he's happy no matter where he's at.
we blazed the music, ate out, chatted up storms, and had fun just being with the brothers.
they're such good kids.
it's nice to help out and babysit every once in awhile.
even though stace does all the work. i usually just sit and veg.

but every time i walk away from babysitting i always feel great knowing it's just me and brad in our little apt. just the 2 of us. quiet and laid back. no 6 kids causing a ruckus.

this mut.

this cute little guy stared at me for about 10 minutes straight while walking home from work. i finally got closer to him, took his picture then walked up to him thinking i wanted to bond. i reached out my hand and he started barking uncontrollably like he was going to kill me. i jumped and screamed then walked off praying nobody saw me. i don't think anyone did.

me and brad watched 6 and a half hours of the office yesterday-season 4. it felt so good.

a girl from my work on friday wanted a sip from my water bottle, i said "sure go ahead", her reply right before she put the bottle to her lips were, "i can't get diabetes from this right??" i would have laughed out loud, but unfortunately this is not the first time someone has asked this.

me, brad and my little brother rob went and saw sherlock holmes yet again this weekend. the dollar movie was so crowded we all sat in different rows. i wouldn't recommend it. but downy is still dreamy.

sunday morning a good friend of mine called me to watched her kids while she helped her sister with a tragic accident . i was sitting there holding her little girl while she was asleep, and her other little boy cuddled up on the couch next to me in a blanket. for some reason the primary song "I know that My Savior Loves me" came into my head. i thought of the lines, "children were gathered 'round Jesus. He blessed and taught as they felt of His love, each saw the tears on His face." it was so peaceful, and i couldn't help but get teary eyed in that moment, even though lion king was playing in the background.
i feel so grateful sometimes, for nothing in particular, just grateful.

daves birthday lunch

it was daves birthday this week and we lucked out by going
to lunch with all the ones that were able to come.
me and brad have been feeling a little too lucky with him being off school for spring break and him only working monday and tuesday, and me....well, pretty much being done at 11 daily.

promise i'm looking forward more and more for summer for the sake of not looking like a corpse with my white face and black hair.
no joke i have been asked 3 times if "i'm feeling ok" because i "look a little pale".
my mom is one of those people.
i debated fake baking till i have cancer, then figured i would rather be pale than leather.

on the tramp again.

wasn't the weather incredible on sunday? actually this whole week it's been good.

our trampoline is 18 years old.
many scrapes, brakes, back aches, falling through the springs, getting pinched by the springs, getting bounced off the tramp, sleeping on at nights, jumping off the roof, and smashing faces have all taken place, but we're still obsessed with it and use it at every chance we get......... especially when the weather is perfect.
i just love that sweet little reese.

weidner sunday night dances.

i'm sure the neighbors question our spirituality when they hear jay-z, beyonce, 50 cent and michael jackson blazing through our windows on sunday nights.

you call it ridiculous and immature................... we call it therapeutic. even if my neck does feel like i got rear ended by a semi from whipping it around so much.

please know right now, that everyone who is reading this is invited! you have to at least experience one. we would be obsessed if you came..

while my sister did her thang with the camera, i watched her kids.

i'm obsessed with these kids. but i love it even more when they're all mine for an hour.
i took them to feed the birds, or i should say, the nasty seagulls. they loved it. and i loved it because of their reactions.

daybreak is almost too perfect for me. a little eerie in a way. it reminds me of the truman show. i'm just waiting for someone to come out and say, "this is all pretend". but i can't deny that it's beautiful, and the best place for kids-with some of the cutest houses i might add.

rapid fast week.

~this week has been a fantastic one. not only did it go by rapid fast, but some of the things that took place made it wonderful.

~on st. patties day i didn't wear a lick of green, and i didn't even know it was st. patties day until i got in the car and they were talking about it on the radio.
but our delightful neighbor did make us some insane nutella crepes that night.

~wednesday night i taught an aerobics class for my moms young womans. one girl yelled out during the workout, "who would ever in there right mind want to do this for a job!?"
it reminded me that i just have one more month of studying until i take my test-and it made me utterly content.

~while stace was doing a shoot for a friend this week, i was watching coop and reese. coop is in the process of potty training so when he had to go, it made perfect sense when he asked me to help him. i waltzed in the bathroom and he politely asked, "lissa, would you mind holding down my penis for me?" i was laughing so hard i couldn't do it for the life of me.

~stace had a little get together over at her house with a choice group of people. i laughed so hard throughout that night that my voice was horse the next morning.

~ thought since i didn't wear green on st. patties, i'd post a pic that reminded me of a good, green, happy day about 2 years ago.

pizza factory.

the last time i ate at this restaurant, it was high school spring break 2003 in st. george.
the days when traveling 3 hours seemed like we were driving to new york.
the days when mooning each other back and forth in cars was ridiculously funny.
the days when having sleepovers were the best nights of our lives.
the days when staying up all night actually sounded appealing.
the days when we had no option but to spoon with each other because we weren't into the boys quite yet.
the days when talking about "who we are going to marry" seemed ions away.
the days when running down a hill buck nude seemed like life couldn't get any better.

i think i can honestly say i had (still do) thee best group of girlfriends growing up. i miss them. so much.

we had fun saturday night! but i must say dinner was the highlight because we had that lovely jewel to look at throughout the meal.

thank goodness for girls who still wear bright red, lacey thongs and think they're sexy. especially when their thong is mid way half up there back.
i couldn't tell if the guys were just pretending it was gross for us wives, or if they were secretly loving it.

u of u gymnastics.

this weekend our friend had some extra tickets for us for the u of u gymnastics meet.
we ordered ourselves some cinnamon covered almonds and just sat back and relaxed with some good entertainment.
it was fun!

and me and brad couldn't take our eyes off of the butt muscles those girls have. their thighs are out of this world.
we literally couldn't stop commenting on them.
every single one of them had the most ripped legs we'd ever seen, i think brad was a little jealous.

childrens museum=best place on earth.

i met up with stace to take the kids to the childrens museum. she goes all the time, but it was my first time to see that magical place.
my word, i'm ticked this place wasn't around when i was a kid. they have everything. every single thing you could ask for as a kid.
i was obsessed...and even more obsessed to play with the kiddos.

after i took those 3 bundles of love to bruges, my all time favorite waffle place.
best waffles in the world. best whipping cream in the world, and best fries in the world.
in other words, a diabetic disaster.
