liz's halfie.

saturday my sis in law, liz, decided to get up and run the half marathon. boggles my mind how people can do that.
we thought it only appropriate to get some doughnuts from our favorite, banbury doughnuts, and watch her on the side lines while she worked her skinny little butt off.

i'm so impressed with her. not just running wise, but motherhood wise, friendship wise, and loving wise. i truly feel privileged to have her for a sister. and i always think to myself, gosh..thank goodness we came together through family, because i would have never known someone like her existed on this earth.

and yes, i do get emotional watching all the people cross the finish line. especially the people that trickle in at the last. because you know they just gave it all they have to finish that race. there truly is nothing better than that feeling at the end of a race.

Aren't you the nicest?! That was so great to read, thanks for making me feel so good! The best part about running ANY race is coming to the finish and seeing family there. Saturday was the best experience because I had SO many supporters!! It made me so happy inside that people cared enough to come early in the morning. And the donuts were perfect after that, you guys are amazing!
