Nothing is FUNNER (I know that FUNNER is not a word but it just fits) FUNNER than the FUN BUS to WENDOVER!!! Scott would love to go with you guys!
Seriously I think you should save some more pennies a few more weeks and we should go somewhere really fun for New Years!

We are driving to NYC! That is a bonus to living out here, everything is close! You should drive to San Fran, and eat at a fun restaurant for Thanksgiving. Lake Tahoe is also VERY VERY beautiful, and only about 8 hours from you. Do that, that is my choice.

St George is always fun. Not too far, not too expensive and a great getaway. I was just telling Dan last night that I needed a vacation too. Unfortunately it probably won't happen til the summer :(

*Arizona is cheap, we went last year and camped because it was cool enough, but not cold enough, and on our way down we drove through Vegas and the Hoover dam, and then on the way home past the grand canyon and lake powell. We were gone about 4 days.
*Or St. George is always we good, we are probably going to be down there, and you could stay at my sisters house.
*Moab.
*Little retreat to Logan and stay in a bed and breakfast.
*Park City- close.
*Sometimes you can get cheap flights to California.
* Our cabin in Joe's Valley.
Good luck planning a little trip.

There is a place in San Diego that you rent a little piece of land and then you can set up tents on it (you can rent a motor home but then it can get really pricey) and they have showers (surprisingly clean showers) and they have sorts of activites you can do there on the camp ground (like basketball, I think there was ping pong there as well) and a pool. But the best part is that is probably 5-10 min. drive to the pier/beach. And not far from somewhere you can go shopping! If you want more info about it leave me a message on FB and I will get you the website so you can look more into it!!!

Hey Melissa I know this question does not relate to your question but I think your the best person to ask this question and you update your blog like everyday so I know you will see this question!! I am taking Travis to a surprise birthday get away (ok just to down town salt lake) and your hubby went to Brazil on his mission and well Trav went to Portugal on his mission (aren't they similar?) anyways I want to take him out to dinner that is kinda like a Portugal restaurant that is YUMMY but without breaking the bank!! Do you or your hubby know of anywhere that fits what I am looking for? If you could FB message me back (don't leave a comment or Trav might see it) I would SUPER APPRECIATE it!!! Thanks girl

you should try Logan. It's only about an hour and a half away. My in-laws and us go there every year during the fall. We stay at the Crystal Inn which is way nice. It has a a nice pool, great rooms, and free breakfast and dinner if you want to save some money. And its not like a skimpy breakfast where it's just cold cereal and bagels. It has bacon, eggs, sausage, and waffles and dinner is great too. They have awhole bunch of things to do there and they also have this resturant that is like and old train station call the Bluebird with fantastic food that is not too high in price. It's agreat time! And if you need anymore info let me know. Oh, and for 8 of us to go, it was a little over 1500.00 so for 2 people it should be cheap. well, miss ya!
