another birthday. another brunette

it's funny, the more i blog, the more i want to blog, the less i blog, the more it becomes a dad gum chore. so as of right now, i'm on the blogging kick-and just can't get enough of it. so....ladies and gents, here's another post for ya.

this weekend was brad's cute neice's birthday. bree turned 4 and had more gifts than i've gotten on all my christmas's put together. i guess those are some of the benefits of being the oldest. it was fun, but i can honestly say, the adults had more fun with her toys than she actually did. i'm sure she loves them, but man, we sure couldn't get enough.

and last but not least, me and brad were going over our moneys and decided the "high-lighting" of the hair was just way too much money for us to throw out. so....i had to go with the natural color (even though she did it a little darker than what i asked) and had to put an end to the high-lighting days, which i used more for an excuse just to get my hair washed. so here is a picture of the change.

oh, and that random picture i threw in there of my dad and rob.....just had to take a picture of the glorious goodness from lether-butt's. (also known as letherby's)

can't help but come to the conclusion once again, that life is dang good.

Beautiful Moab

took a quick family getaway to moab for the weekend with the brothers and the parents. i'm literally flabbergasted that this was the first time i went down. it was beautiful! it rained quite a bit, so i can't even imagine how fun it would have been without the rain. thanks ma and pa for the awesome time-it was a fantastic getaway!

(we hiked up to the very top of this mountain and it was thundering/lightning/raining so hard the entire time. when we got to the very top my hair started raising-so instead of sprinting down the mountain before i got struck, we thought it best to, of course not only sit and laugh at my hair which i'm sure meant the electricity was about to strike my head at any moment, but to hike up some more so all of our hair could raise. and yes, i'm fully aware at how large my forehead is.)

Thank you moms for being all that is needed to have a life this full.

Birthday Saga

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA AND SCOTT!!!

We had a little birthday bash at the Elder's Saturday night for Lisa and Scott. It was one heck of a party. We of course had the old traditional cake and ice-cream, but Lisa's cake sure as heck wasn't traditional. It was INCREDIBLE! Props for all her baking/cooking. she was born with an insane gift of being able to whip up anything. When I picture celestial glory I picture me eating a 21 course meal that Lisa has prepared for me. Of course I highly doubt that's what her celestial glory looks like.
After din we headed out back for some mallow roasting and "around the fire" gabbing-something that I live for. We just sat around the fire and talked till we laughed, and laughed till we peed into the late night. I can honestly say there was about 4 times during that night that I almost peed I was laughing so hard. ....(sigh).........life is good. Unfortunately for Scott-I got a picture of one of us laughing till we peed. jokes, but we wanted to see how many mallows Scott could put in his mouth-we were all just rolling when marshmallows started coming out his nose-and of course the drool helped us laugh even harder.

night on the town

Despite the fact that Brad had the best day of his life by himself at my dad's work, we did in fact get some down town Salt Lake time together. We thought we would take a night and hit up the town. That sounds a lot more cool than it was...but we still managed to have a good time. We got some dinner and then walked around the streets of good old Salt Lake. Tourists in our own town for the night. You should try it sometime, it's worth doing at least once.

I have zero photography skills, but I did try to get some cool shots of the city, but of course they ended up just looking like I accidentally dropped the camera on every street corner and just happened to get random shots on the way down. So here's a few randoms of our night on the town.

(he's quite the looker in this picture, if I do say so myself)

On the way home we were sticking our heads out the window to see who could last the longest with the brisk air....beat him by a long shot. Brad took a sexy shot of me while my hideous head was still out the window. As sickening as this picture is, I just had to show everyone what it looks like to be a winner, HA!

Bradley Allen

Saturday's are the days I usually work for my dad at his Massage Chair office. Sometimes if Brad doesn't have anything else going on, he'll come and sit for 6 hours in a massage chair while I'm "working" (sitting in the massage chair next to him). Well, my dad just got a Mac computer, don't know enough about computers to know the differences, but apparently Brad did because after an hour of helping some people that came in, I went in the back and found these on the computer. He was just back there by himself taking these pictures for literally 50 minutes. Couldn't help but show off his lovely work. We were just rolling.

He's a keeper...
