new port beach (2009)

food was delicous.
company priceless.
weather was sheer bliss.
sand warmer than ever.
scenery breathtaking.
water hellishly cold.
question game traveling there and back a hoot.
Marriott absolutely luxurious.
6 flags was more than i could have asked for.
girls shopping trip a riot.
and temple incredibly beautiful.

gosh we're lucky. not only we were able to hit up New Port when stace and dave lived there, (even though we did miss stacie and dave by a hair. when they were leaving last week we were getting there-and i ask, don't compare pictures if you look at there blog, HA! i will never have that gift that she does. ) anyways, this time the Elder's treated us to an awesome trip with there time-share stuff.

the weather was awesome the first couple of days, and perfect for when we went to 6 flags, and when i say perfect, i mean cloudy-but not raining. so it wasn't scorching hot while we were walking around and going on the rides.

we couldn't have asked for a better trip Jeff and Lisa!! we love you! thank you so much for all your time and effort putting this trip together, the memories are priceless and the company (jeff, lisa, scott and emily) was even better!! we wished so badly the rest of the family could have been there with us, but just know you were all in our thoughts while we were roasting in the sand and walking the pier. just kidding, but seriously, we really did miss you guys:)

and yes, brad had a hay-day with that mermaid.....

What a fun trip!! I'm SO SO SO sad I couldn't get there with the kids, but it is probably better because we would have brought the flu bug. It looks like so much fun, I can't wait for next year when we can ALL be together when Russ is home!

Sounds like fun!! I'll admit I'm jealous but it still looks like a blast! Can't wait 'til our next vaca. I miss you Melissa!

p.s. I think you look absolutely GORGEOUS with your dark hair. Then again, I've always been a little bias and thought brunettes are prettier than blondes. I really love love LOVE IT! I've always thought you were pretty of course, but now I think you really look beautiful. The whole time I was reading your posts I kept thinking how gorgeous you are- I actually like it better than the high lights! Brad is one lucky man. Okay- now I just sound perverted...

I love the pictures, Newport is the best! How fun if we would have been there the same time, maybe next year. Thanks again for watching Benton in church I wish I had a picture of how cute it was to see Benton fall sound asleep in your arms.
