dang good weekend
p.s. brad slipped on a banana peel this weekend in a parking lot. as in an actual banana peel. i was laughing so hard i couldn't walk. i seriously thought that only happened in cartoons. but i was extremely satisfied that it did happen.

all we needed was a couple of hours in park city
so brad is off this week. no school. no work.
i seriously can't even tell you how nice it is. we've been trying so hard to make it somewhat fun/productive, because we are 2 people that tend to waist time by sitting on our butts and watch movies we've already seen before. so we started the week by going up to park city.
we forget all the time how close the drive is. and seriously so beautiful. gosh, the colors changing is just hypnotizing. park city is almost a fairytale place, and main street is just a little too perfect i might say. but quite entertaining and a good place to be when you have nothing else to do.
highly recommend red banjo. excellent pizza for a good price. and the atmosphere almost reminded me of a 50's movie. we loved it.
then we just walked around, went to the candy store-stared at the candy with our faces smashed against the glass, looked at the sugar intake, then walked out. scratch that, we did try a sample of there fudge which was heaven on earth.

*note to self-if you already have an extremely large butt, don't stick it out as far as you can.
**also, even if it takes your spouse 28 tries to balance on a wet, thin bike seat-be patient and sit and watch because it might be one of the funniest things you ever see. especially when every time he falls the seat is right between his legs. seeing him dodge it is just fantastic.

gentle josh got baptized
well, the caboose of the family finally got baptized.
this kid melts my heart.
he really is a gentle josh.
he wanted all of the siblings to sing "i want to see the temple" because
it's his favorite primary song.
i didn't know this, but my mom said that one of his first days of elementary school the teacher asked a bunch of kids to say where they would go if they could go anywhere in the world. while other little kids were saying they wanted to see africa, or be on an island, josh of course being straight out of heaven said, "i want to see inside the temple".
so all of us siblings, with no practice, got up and sang.
i couldn't stop bawling.
i'm going to say it was because i'm a spiritul boulder,
and not because i was buck raging nervous.
and then i looked around and saw that everyone was bawling.
he's the last one. the last baptism of our family. and it's funny how he is the most caring, and loving of us all. while my mom was giving her talk, along with brads, we all looked down the row to see josh, in his white little outfit, patiently just listening to
every word that was being said. what a kid.
all i remember from my baptism is me crying my face off because my white outfit looked like elvis, and i was so mad because stacie's baptism outfit was a dress. if only josh was there to calm me down and help me see the bigger picture.
we all love him so much! and you could tell from how many tears were shed, that we are all so happy for him.

oh and p.s.
unheard of

i washed my hair yesterday. and then again today.
this, you guys, is literally unheard of.
i don't know if i like it, i almost feel a little too clean.

date night.
friday night we thought spur of moment that it would be fun to hit up the mountains one last time before it was too late to enjoy it.
couldn't be happier that we decided to do it.
the weather was perfect.
and we just boiled some water over the fire and had some
hot chocolate.....just the 2 of us.
laid there and gabbed and then hit the road.
it was way fun, and the whole time we kept saying over and over again...
"why didn't we do this more often this summer??'"
