fancy auction

welp, when it comes to high end stuff, me and brad don't have a clue.
we got "cordially" invited to an auction to help raise money for a
non profit organization this past weekend.
supposedly all the big wigs were there-we didn't know a soul.
we've never felt so out of place.
and although people were whipping out money like no body's business, we felt loaded when we put down 10 dollars for this "world renowned" loaf of monkey bread.
it looked like monkey bread to us anyways.
it was fun to feel like thousandaires for a night though, i won't lie.
random/awkward fun i guess you can call it.

life

this weekend seemed like a long one.
not in the best way though.
it's incredible what life throws at you sometimes,
and how unprepared you are to handle the changes.
it's all part of life i guess. what do ya do...

anywho-enough of all this shenanagins!
friday all the family was together.
it's always a breathe of fresh air being at the house.
being the friend that we all need once in awhile. it's always a good time with them.
we went to visit rob while he was working.
ha, you can tell he felt proud working at such a cool place like red robins.
and we were all proud of him, for having a job longer than 12 hours.
i can't make fun of him too much though, i can honestly say i passed down that lovely trait
of switching jobs whenever i dad gum please.
but we did manage to squeeze in some fun, despite how draining the weekend began.
but i'll blog about those lata.

p.s. is anyone elses facebook being ridiculous? it won't let me leave comments, go into my inbox or read left comments...

p.s.s. i can't thank you guys enough for the advice on vacations! promise we loved reading them together. and we were getting jealous of what some of you guys did, they sounded awesome!!!
so thank you for taking the time to write them down!

a cheap trip.

please if you have any ideas...
any ideas at all, we would love to hear your brilliant
trips that you've all taken.

music is my passion.

i've always been obsessed with music.
but i'm the most obsessed when i'm driving at night.
now, i'm not saying i have good taste in music,
just sayin i love it, so take it or leave it.
i've put together a list of only some of my favorite "night time" driving music
that i highly recommend,
and also-for later in the future so i can always look back to see what i was listening to at the time.
welp, i hope you enjoy them as much as i do.......every night.

the best part of halloween

...is by far the dressing up.
so what were we? just plain ugly.
we are officially obsessed with the d.i.
and searching for these outfits was by far the best part of this holiday.
hit up 9th and 9th for a bit, a ward party slash sitting and watching charly brown's pumpkin patch, then met up with some friends to do the traditional this is the place haunted village.
way fun night!

p.s. yes, those are lady bugs on my shirt.

p.s.s. we had so many leftover bags of candy from the ward party, we decided to go give some to the people sitting outside the homeless shelter. when they came up to the window to see what we were handing out they all got freaking mad at us because we weren't handing out money and real food. one hideous woman even yelled, "this is bad nutrition!! give us a burger!!" i almost punched her in the crotch.

soooo, never again will we do that. ever.

the halloween norm

soooooo.....................michael jackson. wowsas.

literally speechless when i walked out. please if your even debating for a second in your mind to go see it, i say buy your freaking tickets right now.

it was absolutely sensational. and i was literally begging brad to go to a club, or anywhere for that matter, so we could just dance till our feet went raw.
but he settled for the living room along with lisa. we danced to michael jackson's greatest hits and i can seriously say i haven't felt that good while dancing since high school. gosh i miss dancing.

later that night we did the norm by getting a chance to cut out some pumpkins. it never gets old. thank goodness for traditions that never die.
