The Man Tag!!

How long have you been married? 10 months

How long did you date? Well, we actually dated in high school for a bit, but after the mission for about 8 months.

Who eats more sweets? Brads into the candy and pop, and i'm into the doughnuts and cake.

Who said I love you first? Brad did surprisingly, and it shocked the crap out of me...so my only response was to keep making out with him...ummm

How old is he? 22

Who is taller? Brad.

Who is smarter? Absolutely Brad

Who sings better? I sing better when i'm getting ready, but Brad sings better when we are driving.

Who does the laundry? Just depends on who needs there stuff washed.

Who pays the bills? We both do actually, whoever gets to it first I guess.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do.

Who mows the lawn? I long for the day when we have a lawn to mow

Who drives? Brad does. My license has probably rusted. I would love to drive but everytime I set foot behind the wheel nothing but critiquing goes on...therefore leaving me to give up the driving entirely to Brad.

Who is more stubborn? It really depends on the subject, but usually when I am stubborn I am almost 99.9% of the time dead wrong anyways.

Who kissed who first? We both went in, but this was in High School so we were both nervous wrecks

Who asked who out? I was the first to ask him out after the mission

Who has more siblings? I do.

Who wears the pants? People probably think I do because I'm more out-spoken and Brad seems more laid back, but when it comes down to it, Brad wears the whole outfit.

I tag...Stacie LeeAnn Weidner Murdock, Cherelle Haaga Forbes, and Mallory Feller Miller

Forget what I said.....

Sooooo, just want to make it clear that the last post was complete crap. If you don't have to eat healthy, for the love of pete...please don't. Sure I was excited for a week, but now that week is over and eating healthy has become one of the hardest thing I have ever had to do in this lifetime. Just thought I would correct that last post for you all. I'll keep posting recipes on The Diabetic Diet link, but never again will you hear me say that eating healthy is fun and easy...other than that, life is doing great:)

THE DIABETIC DIET

So, now that I am Diabetic, my eating has changed DRASTICALLY, and I mean drastically. Sure didn't watch too much of what I ate in the past. Part of being a diabetic is having a strict meal plan and counting carbs. I'll be honest, it was H E Double at the start, but now that I'm getting the hang of it, it's actually fun, and way easier then I thought, making all these recipes they send me. I have around 300 recipes made and designed specifically for my weight and body mass that are literally DELICIOUS!! So-as I have been making all these recipes and feeling extremely good by eating them, I want everyone in on the fun:). I've had some requests to share the recipes, so that's exactly what I'm going to do! I'm going to post the breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes on my blog for all of you to make yourselves, and not only have fun while cooking, but to feel good and eat healthier! Promise you will feel a difference. (side note-all of these are portioned and sized for no more then 30 grams a meal, so if you want more, feel free to double the recipe)I'm going to start with one of my favorites today that I made 2 nights ago:

Almond Tilapia (fish of your choice) and Asparagus w/ Brown Rice

Ingredients:
1 tablespoons butter, divided
1 cup Brown Rice
1/4 cup slivered or sliced almonds
1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 tilapia fillets (5-6 ounces each)
Salt and pepper
Brown Flour, for dredging
Juice of 1/2 lemon

Preparation:
Heat pot and add 1/4 tablespoon butter in a pot until boiling. Stir in rice. Simmer rice for as long as directed. While rice cooks, toast nuts in a skillet until golden, 5-6 minutes over medium heat. Remove nuts and reserve.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of Virgin Olive Oil and 1/2 tablespoon butter to skillet. Season fish with salt and pepper and dust fish lightly in flour. Cook fish fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and firm. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon over the pan.
You can add whatever vegetable you want, but my choice was Asparagus. See, EASY and FAST! Hope you enjoy it as much as me and Brad did:)
