yesterday's weather was perfect. and so is the park right smack dab in the middle of the city.

chelsey's shower.

our good friend chelsey is havin a baby!!
we are thrilled and so excited for her!
and she looks adorable with that little belly of hers.
she pulls off pregnancy like a champion.
all my girlfriends do actually.

but i must say, my favorite thing about babies are the showers with all the girls.
i love seeing them so much!
it's so fun to catch up and see what everyone is up too!
i love em. just love em all.

photoshoot.

what started out as a simple picture on the couch, turned into a photoshoot that had us rolling for an hour. we were laughing so hard at these.

we enjoyed doing this when we were 16, and heck...

guess nothing's changed.(mary-kate and ashley olson of course)

the last one is my absolute favorite, because my mom walked in and saw what we were doing and said, "i've got a great idea! go back to back with your legs out." she was dead serious. so just for the sake of not making her feel bad, we of course sucommed to her wishes. and enjoyed it a thousand times more than she did.

easter conference.

(first and foremost-i'm absolutely humiliated beyond words for those of you who felt the need to compliment me after that ridiculous post. please don't get me wrong, your words were so nice and left my head feeling larger than life, but that was 100% not the reaction that i wanted. thank you for being so kind to me!)

ok, enough of the shebang-
this weekend left everyone under our roof feeling heavier than words.
sometimes i wish our families new how to do other things
than eat outrageously good/fattening food while being inspired by conference.
but thank you moms for taking the time to make us delicious meals!

the girls shopped, ate, and laughed.
and i'm still obsessing over the fact that leslie came into town with her adorable babes.
this weekend has been a blast with her and the fam!

and of course the 3.2 second easter egg hunt was great too!

this morning while i was brushing my teeth i looked in the mirror,

and i looked so ruff.

just down right ruff.

i don't know if it's the weather funk, but man,

lately i've been looking pretty harsh.

i think it's been about a week since i've put on mascara, and if i'm not lounging in my scrubs then i'm in a t-shirt and jeans.

and no, i haven't thoroughly combed my hair in about 3 days.

i have this weird motivation to be feminine all of a sudden.

i just want to feel like a girl.

there might have even been a time this week that brad asked me to shave-

or mow- my legs.

BUT.....aside from me feeling like a haggard man- leslie my cousin is sleeping in my apt as i type.

and her sweet little boy is laying right next to her.

so as far as me saying it's starting out to be a good weekend?

i'd say so!! :)

and don't think for a second i'm not as ansy as crap to get the heck out of here and hold her babes.
